I am going to start with the first thing we did in fifth grade that i liked it was ice-cream walk! it was so fun. We ended up at Hellerup beach, but first we went to paradis to buy ice-cream. I bought two scoop of strawberry ice-cream. Lara bought too much ice-cream! She wasn't quick enough to eat it though, two of the scoops melted on the beach! While we were there, we also played games, which was super fun.


The next fun thing we did in fifth grade was swimming. We have to go to Kildeckovhal svømmehal every Monday morning. Even though i am a beginner, it was pretty fun!

The R-E-S-P-E-C-T assembly was great.SJ and i announced the birthday people. This was the first assembly in my life. and i really liked being apart of it.

In November we had bike day, where we had to bring our bikes and we had to ride them and we also had some fun we had some games but we have to do them on our bikes!! I wasn't good at it. We had to ride around this circle and try to ride as close to it as you could.

Motions day was next up coming on the calendar. We had to go to Dyrehavn to walk. Noa and i walked 17.5 kilometers- the second longest distance in the whole grade!! i was very tried after that, but i really enjoyed being out in the nature.

Now it's time for me to talk about my favorite thing.The two Steves! it was a very entertaining experience. OK i will tell you who two Steves are they are Steve Skidmore and Steve Barlow, they are two authors who are super funny. They told us some stories about Greek mythology and gave us some tips for writing our own story.

I learnt about energy when Meghan Nicoline and i did a video on kinetic energy. It wasn't that good. But at least we worked hard, and learnt a lot about how kinetic energy works.

Oh yes! we also had a plant project. We did these interesting experiments in our unit of inquiry called ecosystems. I did a experiment about what would happen if we take a normal plant and put it in a desert biome? And after the experiment i found out the plant was dead! while my plant didn't survive , i learnt that some plants can live in other biomes.

Now i will tell you about pyjama day I wore my pyjamas but not everyone else did. In fact at the end of the day Miss Mac took a photo of all the people who had pyjamas on. I still remembered that it was really cold after school and i forgot my coat at home and i had to go home with my PJ's on!!

At the end of the year we got MYP 1 buddies. I am lucky enough to have two buddies- Clarie and Jamila. I know Jamila more then Claire. Because Claire is in America. Because she had liver cancer and had to have a liver transplant. I like my buddies.

Now here is the most inportant thing we did in fifth grade was the PYP 5 exhibition. It was so so hard. We worked in goups for 8 weeks! And our topic is about smoking . This was because three out of the four members in my group have parents who smoke. I learn't about the health effects of second hand smoke and the diseases caused by smoking. I was happy when the exhibition was over. But was really proud of our presentation.

Now fifth grade was over i don't know how i feel, but i am really looking forward to 6th grade especially the activity week and social over night.

LAST EXHIBITION REFLECTION!!

Finally exhibition is done it's been very stressing this 8 week but me and my group members learned A LOT!(i don't know about the others but i learned a lot) i talked a lot during the exhibition before i was always scared talking in frount of the class. but after this i can do it with out getting nerves( i think) and i learned to be a risk taker. i really learned a lot from the exhibition it is fun but hard work :)

This week we are doing our oral presentation and our board we are good at decorating the board and we all done our oral presentation we are having a mentor meeting today we have to do alot of work we have to practice our presentation and board and stand we really have to work hard to have a good project buy the end. we have to alot of work i had a very busy week.:)

this we are on presenting stage this Wednesday we are coming to Meghan's house to do the interview with Mrs Christensen's husband and after that we are going to do the experiment and then the teacher can check the using and recording stage of and we still have to think of the action component then we can also check of the presenting stage we are all working on our oral presentation and i am done my others are still working on it
we got lots of work to do, and i had a busy but nice week :)

This week we did kind of well because we haven't done the things we are suppose to do.i think we are a bit slower than the other groups.i am going to do a little test for other people see if they all understand it(maybe) i am going to make some thing for the people who got it all right. and we are going to make small fat cigarettes and put the stuff we made in it and we are going to make a giant cigarette to put all the stuff we made for a prise and divide them and put it in the small ones
we are also going to make a kind of thing that look like newspaper and put pictures and articles on it.we are going o interview Mrs Christensen's husband about smoking,i am very excited

This week me and my group members are on presenting stage we fin the deciding finding using recording and we are on presenting!we have to do lots of work this week we have to do the plan for the exhibition and speech and alot of other stuff
we have to do them all this week or we will get in trouble(i think)
i had a pretty good week!:)

The fourth week of exhibition

This is the fourth week of exhibition we finished stage1,2,3 witch is deciding finding using and recording. we are on presenting stage i am very excited we did some survey we ask people IB,teachers,other people and 10th graders.after the surveys we are going to make a graph. i am going to make two model one of them is a good body we are going to copy pictures from Google on the stuff in side the body and put them on the out line of body we had. the other one is going to be a smoker's body and show the bad lugs and heart and other stuff that is different as the good body.This week we have a holiday we don't need to go to school on Friday whoop!
i had a great week.

This week we were on stage four(recording stage)we finish deciding,finding,and using we had lots of work done me and Meghan and Emily is going to do a survey and we are going to interview 9,10 graders and IB students and Mrs Christensen's husband he is a doctor so we can ask lots of questions so we can learn more about smoking. we need to finish recording stage by end of this week we have to find information and stuff. it is lots of work to be done.

This week our group have done some work all ready we finished the first stage witch is deciding.We need to finish finding and using by end of this week it's really lots of work to do this week. we meet our mentor again she said she was very impressed of how much work we did(!!) i am very happy.

my weekly reflection

This week we started the exhibition, my group members are me,Emily,Meghan and Liam our topic is about smoking. we meet our mentor we were on the deciding stage. this week most of the time we are doing exhibition we finish our exhibition title.the title is (eww whats that smell)we need to finish the deciding stage by end of this week. than we will move on to the next stage witch is them finding stage.

It was really hard to find information about our topic we are deciding that we are going to do surveys to find out how many people smoke at CIS but not the whole CIS.
But that is going to be weeks and weeks after the deciding stage.

This is a very good week and i like doing the exhibition.I think it's fun but it's lots of hard work.

I think that our video is not that good because only some of the information are true and we did not make one of the part that is from brain pop and we did not use that much scientific words. we laugh a lot in the video. I think next time we should not laugh.



I think we can do better next time and I really learn a lot about energy from others and us I really like others model or movie or power point or what ever. I think I have a really good time doing our video
